MESSAGES FROM FATHER JIM
In your prayers kindly remember the sick and those who care for them, the lonely, the handicapped, those isolated, and those who have died.
INTRODUCTION TO THE LITURGY – Living a New Life: In his first contact with the Gentile world, Peter presents the Christian kerygma, the “good news” of Jesus. He highlights the resurrection to which he personally attest. The gospel gives the Johannine account of Peter and the beloved disciple reaching the empty tomb, with the latter being the first to come to faith recognition of what had transpired. In both of the alternative second readings, Paul stresses the moral dimension of resurrection faith. In whatever we do, our attention is riveted on the heavenly values which Easter makes manifest to all humanity.
FROM THE RECTOR’S DESK –On behalf of Bishop Guy Desrochers, Deacon Adrien Chaput and myself, I wish all of you an abundance of the joys and grace of the Resurrection. May the peace, joy and love of the risen Lord be yours this Easter Day and always!
HAVE A BLESSED AND HOLY EASTER SEASON!

Holy Mass – Extraordinary Form
Holy Masses in the extraordinary form are offered at St. Columbkille Cathedral on the first Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. These Latin Masses are in the form of the Liturgy as it was celebrated at the time of the Second Vatican Council—the same form which nourished the faith of many of our ancestors. English translations of the entire Mass are provided. Note: The next Latin Mass will take place the second Saturday of April (April 10th), given that April 3rd is Holy Saturday.
HOLY NAME PARISH OFFICE ASSISTANCE NEEDED
The current Holy Name Parish Office secretary, Suzanne Sheridan, has been waiting for some time for full knee-replacement surgery. The first knee-replacement surgery has now been scheduled for Monday, May 03rd in Pembroke. As a result, the Holy Name Parish Office will require a replacement secretary during Suzanne’s recovery period, which to our knowledge could be a minimum of approximately six (6) weeks. This will be confirmed at a later date. If anyone is interested in filling in during this time, or have any questions, please contact the Parish Office as soon as possible at 613-732-3355, email holynamepembroke@outlook.com. A training/familiarization period prior to May 03rd will also be required. Thank you for your support.
Obligation to Attend Mass Remains Suspended
