24th Sunday in Ordinary Time – Sunday, September 13th, 2020

Bulletin Announcements are due to the Parish office before 11:00 a.m. on the Monday before publication. Please call the parish office to submit an announcement.

In your prayers kindly remember the sick and those who care for them, the lonely, the handicapped, those isolated, and those who have died especially Barbara Holder.

As the 2020 school year begins, we extend our kindest thoughts to all students, teachers, assistants, bus drivers, custodians, volunteers; everyone that is involved for a successful, safe and healthy year for students.  Keep God foremost in your thoughts and actions, and allow God to guide you, each day, in every way.

THEME FOR September 13th – The Christian: Forgiven and Forgiving.  Today’s liturgy presents Christian forgiveness as the human counterpart of God’s forgiveness.  The reading from Sirach speaks of Yahweh’s dealing with his creatures as being a reflection of the ways in which they treat one another.  The Matthean parable is a clear self-explanatory presentation of the Christian teaching on forgiveness.  Beginning with God’s treatment of us, Jesus makes an appeal for a similar spirit of mercy among his followers.  The passage from Romans speaks of Christ’s Lordship over both the living and the dead.  We are now intimately linked with Christ in both the present and the future life.

Your offerings for Sunday, September 6th were $6,370.00
A sincere thank you for your weekly donations during the COVID 19 pandemic. Your generosity is gratefully appreciated.
