MESSAGES FROM FATHER JIM

In your prayers kindly remember the sick and those who care for them, the lonely, the handicapped, those isolated, and those who have died, especially Jacques Pleau.

INTRODUCTION TO THE LITURGY – Theme: The Rejected Prophet – No prophet has ever faced a simple challenge. The prophets’ message inevitably flies in the face of accepted standards. Ezekiel’s message of retribution will find a very difficult audience. But at least God’s word will be delivered. The Marcan congregation. His local origins are as good a reason as any to ignore him. Paul sees strength emerging from weakness. In his own powerlessness lies the reinforcing power of God.

FROM THE RECTORS DESK – As we enter into leisurely pace of the summer months let us strive to ensure that we reserve quality time for god and others… especially our families and loved ones. May the free time that holidays afford to give us the opportunity to grow in our relationship with the Lord and those closest to us… families and friends.

Pope’s Prayer Intention for July: Universal intention ‐ Social friendship. We pray that, in social, economic and political situations of conflict, we may be courageous and passionate architects of dialogue and friendship.
