Bulletin Announcements are due to the Parish office before 11:00 a.m. on the Monday before publication. Please call the parish office to submit an announcement.

INTRODUCTION TO THE LITURGY – Theme: God of the Living – When death means the end of everything, it is abhorred. It has always been so. Wisdom in today’s first reading tells us that God is the author of life and has given us a destiny that is immortal. In today’s gospel, Jesus brings life to a woman after many years of suffering and to a young girl who had premature death. Life is at the heart of Christ’s mission.  In the reading from 2 Corinthians, we are reminded that our generosity is but a faint image of Christ who impoverished himself to us.

FROM THE RECTORS DESK – We observe this Thursday July 1st, our National Holliday… Canada Day. This day affords us, as disciples of Jesus Christ, the opportunity to examine how we witness to Christ in our country and world. And how we strive to influence those in government to act from Christian principles and attitudes. Realizing that we do not have a lasting home here, we should pray and work for justice and peace in Canada and throughout the world, so that all God’s   people may share in the goods of this earth. The kingdom of God will come only when all people are ready to let Christ’s teaching guide and rule their lives and action.
